“This contractor turned out to be a disaster....”

This contractor turned out to be a disaster. I had a major plumbing leak that ruined the flooring and damaged the drywall in my house. I had two other plumbers come out and was advised that cutting into the foundation and putting fittings into the foundation was a bad idea and contrary to best practices. I then decided to allow Austin Elite Construction to work on the issue and put down a $1000 deposit for the work. After being told of the previous inspection and warnings Austin Elite Construction and specifically, Joel Valladares decided to disregard this and proceed to cut into my foundation anyway. After a couple of days of not making any progress, I requested an update on plumbing costs. Joel Valladares went into a rant which ended up in his and Austin Elite Construction being fired from the project. A request was made for a partial return of the deposit money which was refused. A third plumbing company was brought in to inspect and was eventually hired for the work. The inspection resulted in a signed affidavit as to damages from the work performed by Austin Elite Construction. The course of action recommended lined up with the two previous inspections. I was also advised that the direction that Austin Elite Construction was going was a bad idea and why. Now in addition to getting the repairs done on my home, I have to spend time with lawyers to get my deposit returned and the damages, specifically the foundation that Austin Elite Construction did to my property.
