SINCE MY SIBLINGS, AND MY PERSON WERE LITTLE KIDS, MY PARENTS SAID, THAT WHEN WE PRACTICE HEALTHY HABITS, WE BOOST OUR CHANGE OF A LONGER LIFE.
Back when those Sacagawea coins were cool, my father would challenge my siblings and I to eating contests for a golden prize. “My father’s crazy,” He would take all sorts of vegetables and fruits and throw them in a blender and say, ‘whoever drinks it the fastest gets a gold coin.’ So we always used to drink it.” My mother on the other side, every time we asked her to take us to McDonalds, she would tell us she will prepare McDonalds at home, "she used to prepare it", exactly the same image than McDonalds, the difference was that she used fresh and healthy products.
I Jorge Herrera, born and raised in Brooklyn "Williamsburg" with my roots from South America "Ecuador" became a young man and started having my own dreams. It took my passion for healthy eating and turned into one of my most important dreams that now sit on the corner of Fulton Street and Spencer "Fuel Juice Bar".
In order to save money and open the shop, I had to work a few years in a different field. However, I have to recognize that even though I worked hard, with out the help of my parents, specially of my mother who quit her own job that had for years and until now stands next to me to help improving the service to our community. Then my sister Jennifer who helped for long time assisting our customers but eventually she left to start her own carrier.
After practically 4 years to keep open the business, we have gone through many hard times, struggling some times but still we have overcame. Therefore, our gratitude goes for all our loyalty customers because with out their support, this shop wouldn't be still open.
We always thank for the good and bad reviews posted in the website because both help us to improve the business, to be more creative, correct our mistakes in order to give a better service to our customers and community in general.
