Oral and Maxillofacial surgery requires an additional 4 to 6 years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, Luis F. Rosario, D.D.S. manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Rosario practices full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery, pathology and maxillofacial trauma. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort.

Dr. Rosario was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He attended Marquette University for his undergraduate studies in Biology and received his doctorate degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed his internship at Naval Dental Center in Great Lakes, Illinois and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Naval Medical Center, San Diego, California.

Dr. Rosario served in the United States Navy for 15 years achieving the rank of Commander. He served as Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon for the USS Carl Vinson Battle Group deployed in the Western Pacific and as Head of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Naval Health Care, New England in Newport, Rhode Island. He deployed aboard hospital ship USNS Comfort in support of humanitarian relief efforts in both Haiti and New Orleans.

Dr. Rosario is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery since 2004, Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Florida Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and past president and current treasurer of the Marion County Dental Association.

Dr. Montgomery was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska where he was captain of the collegiate soccer team and received undergraduate degrees in Biology and Chemistry. He then completed a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and an internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Dr. Montgomery then completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Detroit Receiving Hospital. He also completed a Medical Degree from the Wayne State University – College of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Montgomery practices full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including office-based dental extractions and implants with sedation, as well as benign pathology, orthognathic surgery, and Maxillofacial trauma. He strives to always provide the best possible care for his patients while also helping them to be relaxed and comfortable for their planned procedure.

Our scope of practice includes surgery of the entire maxillofacial complex. Our knowledge and skills make us proficient in the management of bony and soft tissue reconstruction of the entire maxillofacial skeleton.
