Culpeper formerly Culpeper Courthouse, earlier Fairfax is an incorporated town in Culpeper County, Virginia, United States. It serves as the county seat and is part of the Washington–Baltimore–Arlington, DC–MD–VA–WV–PA Combined Statistical Area according to the 2020 United States Census, the town had a population of 20,062, reflecting growth from 16,379 in 2010, largely driven by its strategic location along U.S. Route 15, U.S. Route 29 and U.S. Route 522, and its proximity to Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia’s tech corridor.
